Incoming Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino could be interested in signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez after previously hailing the Argentine as one of the best in the world.

Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have struggled to find their scoring boots all season and it is now a priority for the club to bring in a new Number 9. One such option could be Inter Milan goal machine Martinez.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the Argentine striker but Pochettino could also push for his signing.

Speaking to Radio La Plata three years ago, Pochettino said: “Lautaro Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world. It’s not just for what he does now, but for what his potential means going forward. If you start looking at hitmen for the big clubs, clearly his name has to be in there.”
