According to The Telegraph, Chelsea will see Edouard Mendy in the summer after failing to agree a contract extension with the 31-year-old goalkeeper.
Mendy has lost his no.1 spot at the club this season to Kepa Arrizabalaga. He played a key role as Chelsea won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021 but injuries and the exit of Tuchel has seen him lose his spot in the team.
Any bids for Kepa are likely to also be considered, but the Spaniard’s big wages mean he is less likely to leave for Stamford Bridge which means Chelsea must plan for a scenario in which he could stay.
