Mauricio Pochettino tells Todd Boehly he wants this goalkeeper and striker at Chelsea

According to a report on GOAL, incoming Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya and Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the summer.

The report adds: “Mauricio Pochettino has a “verbal agreement” with the Blues to take over as their new manager ahead of next season. The Argentine manager, however, has demanded the signing of Brentford stars, David Raya and Ivan Toney, in the upcoming transfer window to kickstart his tenure at Stamford Bridge.

“Raya’s contract ends in the summer of 2024 and with the Spaniard pushing for a move away, the Bees could be forced to sell him come summer as they might now want to risk losing out on him for free the following summer.

“Meanwhile, Toney’s situation is a bit more complicated given his gambling investigation still ongoing. His contract with Brentford is up in the summer of 2025, but given the volume of interest in him, it appears that he will be swapping clubs this summer.”
