Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has suggested Kalidou Kouliably will not play again this season.
Koulibaly, who joined the Blues from Napoli in a £34million deal last summer, suffered a hamstring injury that forced him off in the first leg of Chelsea’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid.
“Koulibaly is out for a while still,” Lampard told a press conference on Monday.
“I think it will be a tight call for the end of the season. He’s working away [from the group].
“I’ve been impressed with him as a professional, he’s doing his job very well, but unfortunately the injury was a tough one.”
