Chelsea are interested in signing 31 year old Bayern Munich attacker Sadio Mane in the summer, according to Football Insider via Daily Mail.

The report adds: “Chelsea are monitoring Mane’s situation at Bayern with a view to signing him in the summer.

“Should the forward be allowed to leave after just 12 months into his stint in Bavaria, Bayern are said to be interested in recouping most £27million fee rising to £35m with add-ons they paid to Liverpool last summer.

“Chelsea are believed to be interested in signing offensive reinforcements following a pitiful campaign in front of goal that has seen them score just 30 times in the Premier League, with only relegation threatened Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Southampton and Everton having netted fewer.

“Despite joining Bayern following six hugely successful seasons with Liverpool, Mane has struggled during his maiden season in the German top flight.

“Three goals in his first three Bundesliga appearances was followed by a further three in his next thirteen, as Bayern parted ways with manager Julian Nagelsmann.”
