Barcelona are ready to accelerate the negotiations to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to Diario Sport via The Hard Tackle.

The report adds: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains keen on rejoining Barcelona. And the Catalan giants are ready to step up their efforts to re-sign the cultured Chelsea star.

“Meanwhile, the veteran striker is willing to take a pay cut to seal the return to Camp Nou.

“Barcelona attempted to re-sign Aubameyang in the January transfer window, only for FIFA rules to scupper the deal. But the Catalan giants remain keen on bringing the Chelsea attacker back to Camp Nou. And recent reports have claimed that the 33-year-old is the priority target for Barcelona.

“The Catalan giants are now ready to accelerate the negotiations to secure Aubameyang’s services. In addition, the former Arsenal captain is ready to take a pay cut to return to Barcelona. But the ball remains in Chelsea’s court. And unless the Blues are willing to release the Gabonese striker, a deal might not be possible.”
