Frank Lampard has given his verdict on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who came on as a half-time substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard said: “I think so [gave us more threat] and Auba has been a tough one for me. I’ve got complete respect for him as a player, I couldn’t play him againsat [Real] Madrid.

“He was in my thinking for today and he has the profile of a no.9 and we don’t have that elsewhere in the squad.”
