Chelsea managerial target and Burnley manager Vincent Kompany was named Championship Manager of the Year as a reward for Burnley’s incredible season.
Kompany completely revolutionised Burnley’s playing style into a possession-based team, using much of the same squad that went down last season.
The former Manchester City captain is seen as one of the brightest young managerial talents in the game after guiding Burnley straight back into the Premier League.
Asked about Chelsea’s interest in him after receiving the Manager of the Year award, Vincent said: “Sorry, but that’s a ‘lost’ question.
“I always feel a little sorry for the journalist who asks the question, because you won’t get any answer in return.
“Before the start of this season I made a commitment not to stir up speculation about my future. No, I’m not going to talk about it.”
