Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique was an early favourite to become Chelsea boss but the Blues have lost interest in the Spanish tactician.

So why did Chelsea suddenly lose interest in hiring Enrique as manager?

According to The Athletic, the Blues’ biggest concern over the Spaniard is that he has not managed a club since 2017 when he left Barcelona.

The Chelsea hierarchy also believe Enrique is used to his teams playing a particular style of football which is better suited to La Liga than the Premier League.
