According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is no longer interested in the Chelsea job.

Romano tweeted: “Julian Nagelsmann has now withdrawn from the race to become the new Chelsea head coach — it looks like it’s his final decision.

“German coach is said to be no longer available after multiple round of talks. Nagelsmann was top candidate for the job.”

Following Nagelsmann’s decision to pull out from the race, Chelsea will now continue talks with former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Romano added: “The conversations between Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea board will now continue as expected — after opening talks earlier this week.

“Shortlist remains as no decision has been made yet — Nagelsmann & Luis Enrique, out of the race. Spurs didn’t approach Poch recently.”
