Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku will leave Inter Milan in the summer and return to Chelsea, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter Milan from Chelsea and the striker has failed to impress the Italian club during his loan spell in Italy.

Lukaku pushed to join Inter Milan on loan last summer after he struggled at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel last season but his loan spell at Inter Milan hasn’t gone to plan.

Inter are already planning their future without Lukaku and they have no intention of negotiating another loan deal, having not been impressed by the money they spent to bring him back from Stamford Bridge.

Inter will prefer to sign a younger striker in the summer who offers the potential to grow and earns less than Lukaku.
