Manchester United are leading Manchester City and Chelsea in the race for France international and Monaco defender Axel Disasi, according to Football Insider via Sports Mole.

The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for Monaco this season, making 41 appearances in all competitions, contributing six goals and four assists in the process.

Disasi represented France at the 2022 World Cup, meanwhile, making three appearances at the competition, including featuring as a late substitute in the final against Argentina.

Monaco are said to be determined to keep hold of Disasi this summer but would be willing to let him leave for the right price, as the club are wary of him running his contract down. He has two years left on his contract.
