Brighton beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon but the scoreline could have been worse as the Blues were torn apart by Brighton.
Brighton had 26 attempts on goal with ten of those attempts on target. Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made a whopping 8 saves.
Chelsea only managed 8 attempts on goal with only two of those on target.
Conor Gallagher gave Chelsea the lead in the 13th (Chelsea’s first goal under Frank Lampard) after a brilliant run by Mykhailo Mudryk before Danny Welbeck deservedly equalised for British in 42nd minute.
19 year old Julio Enciso scored a contender for goal of the season with a brilliant goal from outside the box to secure all three points for Brighton.
It was a disappointing performance for Chelsea and doesn’t give Chelsea fans any hope of a comeback against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Any-come-what? Are you kidding me? Who’s gonna coach them to the comeback, Lamps? You guys should get real Lampard is zero. I don’t see Chelsea as a club who’s been coached. I see them as a coachless team at the moment for to me Lampard isn’t a coach. They might as well looking into maybe giving the job to a permanent coach in Lius Enrique or Negelsman, better still give it to Silver as a player coach for the run in. He will do a better job keeping Chelsea safe than Lampard.. Lampard, will go through the reminder of the season without winning a single game.. I’m a Chelsea fan and I don’t see Chelsea standing a chance against Real Madrid, on whose coaching capacity, Lampard? O spare me that.. let’s stop the dreaming and be realistic..
