Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is determined to sign Barcelona midfielder and Spain international Gavi in the summer, according to a report on Tribal Football.
The report adds: “Premier League giants Chelsea are said to have stepped up their pursuit of Gavi from Barcelona.
“The talented midfielder could leave the Catalan giants in the summer due to issues with registering his contract with La Liga.
“Per AS in Spain, if La Liga and Barca do not find a solution to the Gavi contract situation, he could move on a free transfer in the summer.
“That would result in Chelsea leaping into action as they plan their summer recruitment drive.
“Co-owner Todd Boehly is determined to bring Gavi to the Stamford Bridge club.
“He believes the youngster can pair well with recent signing Enzo Fernandez.”
