Real Madrid star Toni Kroos believes the reigning European champions could have scored more goals during their 2-0 victory over Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Real Madrid secured a two goal cushion at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio on target.
“Maybe we could have pushed a bit more,” Kroos told CBS Sports.
“Of course there is always the danger to run into a counter attack, so you always have to take care of this.
“At the end it is a good result.
“It was a good game but maybe one of two more goals were possible.
“Chelsea had one of two chances in the first half, so we take the result and hope to get it done next week.”
The victory gives Real Madrid a commanding advantage heading into the second leg of the tie on April 18.
