Following Chelsea’s poor performance in the 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid on Wednesday night, Frank Lampard has warned his primary aim is to get goals into the Chelsea team.
Chelsea’s failure to score against Real Madrid means the Blues have now failed to score in four straight games for the first time in 30 years.
“Frank has to find a way of getting goals in the team, has to find a way the structure that gets them into good areas,” Rio Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“It didn’t quite work today other than the first 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter how you set up, if you don’t put the ball in the back of the net you don’t win games.”
