According to former Chelsea centre-back Frank Leboeuf, Hakim Ziyech is the best player in the world when he plays for Morocco but looks lost when he plays for Chelsea.
Leboeuf has urged Ziyech to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
Ziyech, 30, has made only 102 appearances since completing a £33.3million move from Ajax in 2020. The forward has contributed to only 25 goals across three seasons and has constantly been linked with a move away.
In January, a deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed after the contracts for the deal were submitted too late.
Ziyech played a starring role as Morocco reached the semi-finals of the World Cup but has failed to become a regular at Chelsea after the World Cup.
Ziyech has not featured since the 2-0 defeat to London rivals Tottenham at the end of February.
When asked which players should look to leave in the summer, Lebouef told ESPN: “Well, definitely Ziyech. The guy is not happy, and he wants to work. Every time he plays for Morocco, he’s the best player in the world, and every time he plays for Chelsea, he feels sad and lost.
“So I wish him to go somewhere else where he can show to the world he’s still the Ziyech that we have seen when he played for Ajax.”
