Chelsea legend John Terry, who is currently part of the Blues’ Under-18s coaching set-up, is for a coaching return in the Premier League, according to a report on Football London.

The report adds: “Terry is now set to make a return to the Premier League with Dean Smith. According to the Telegraph’s John Percy, Smith is “close” to taking over at Leicester City for the remainder of the season with Terry and Craig Shakespeare expected to join him in the Midlands.

“The trio worked together at Aston Villa from 2019 and 2021, helping the club return to the top flight and retaining their position in 2020 on the final day of the season.

“Smith is said to be in advanced talks to replace Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium after the Foxes’ move with Jesse Marsch collapsed over the weekend. The deal would see Smith return to management for the first time after leaving Championship side Norwich City.”
