Chelsea is leading the race to sign 22-year-old Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili who is also on the radar of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, according to CalcioMercatoWeb via The Hard Tackle.
The report adds: “Chelsea are leading the race to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in the summer. The 22-year-old shot-stopper has been doing wonders for the Spanish club and his performances have attracted the attention of numerous clubs across Europe.
“The 22-year-old has featured in a total of 52 matches and has 16 clean sheets during his time at the club. The Georgia international has only conceded 58 goals while playing for the Spanish side.
“The Georgia international has a €100 million release clause but he might be available for a lower fee.
“Chelsea will face competition from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
“The player’s representatives were in London a few days ago and they have held talks with Chelsea over a potential move.”
