Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne became the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League assists, breaking a record previously held by Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
De Bruyne’s assist for Haaland’s goal against Southampton saw him reach 100 Premier League assists in just 237 games.
That is 56 games faster than previous quickest Cesc Fabregas, who took 293 games to register 100 assists.
On breaking Fabregas record, De Bruyne said: “I don’t compare. Cesc is an unbelievable footballer player. I don’t compare myself to others. I just try and do the best I can do. People will talk about quicker. Everything is different, you play different positions and teams. We score a lot of goals!”
