Chelsea are planning a £70million move for Portugal World Cup star and Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos following the club’s struggles in front of goal this season, according to Football Insider via GOAL.
Chelsea have scored 29 goals in 30 Premier League games this season and managed just one shot on goal in the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Saturday.
The report adds: “Chelsea are plotting a summer swoop for in-form Benfica hitman Goncalo Ramos, as the Blues look to add a new number nine.
“That’s according to Football Insider, who say the 21-year-old Portuguese international is seen as a low-cost alternative to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, with Benfica demanding around £70m, while the Italian club are likely to want closer to £105 million for their Nigerian forward.
“Manchester United are reportedly eyeing the Benfica forward as a back-up of their own, with Tottenham and England record goal scorer Harry Kane dubbed as their top target.”
