Former Barcelona and Spain manager Luis Enrique travelled to London on Wednesday for a meeting with the Chelsea board as the Blues search for a new manager.
According to El Partidazo de COPE via Sport Witness, the Blues’ hierarchy have been left ‘delighted’ by what they’ve heard from the Spaniard.
The report adds that after Enrique travelled to London on Wednesday for talks with Chelsea over replacing Graham Potter, there is a growing belief he could be set to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the meeting between Enrique and the Chelsea board going very well, Chelsea won’t make a decision on appointing the next boss yet. The Blues are hoping to interview as many as seven managers before making a decision on who should be the next manager.
Enrique reportedly sees the Chelsea job as an ‘unmissable opportunity’ to get into the Premier League.
He believes he can have a positive effect on the squad that has been built at Chelsea and has seemingly presented his plan to those in charge.
