Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has been announced as Chelsea interim manager until the end of the season following the dismissal of Graham Potter. 

The former midfielder, who spent 13 years in west London as a player, has agreed to take the reins of Chelsea on a caretaker basis through to the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

Asked to deliver a message to Chelsea fans following his appointment as interim Chelsea manager, Lampard said: “I’m very thankful for the ones that are delighted. Those who aren’t they can know that I will work my utmost to give them a team that they’re proud of.

“I don’t need to speak too much about my relationship with Chelsea fans. They’ve been a huge support to me and I’m forever thankful for that.”
