Chelsea held a meeting yesterday with representatives of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili about a potential move in the summer, according to COPE via Sport Witness.

Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for the 22 year old Valencia star who has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga this season.

The agents of the Valencia goalkeeper met with Chelsea on Tuesday before watching the goalless draw against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge later that same day.

Chelsea are leading Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the 22 year old goalkeeper but his €100m release clause could prove troublesome. His Valencia contract runs until 2027.
