According to Sky Germany via Metro.co.uk, former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is ready to take over at Chelsea immediately following positive talks with Chelsea.
Chelsea have made contact with the 35-year-old Nagelsmann, along with former Spain boss Luis Enrique with the two considered the early favourites for the job
It was thought that Nagelsmann’s preference was to take a short break and wait until the summer before committing to a new project but the German tactician is now ready to accept the Chelsea job immediately.
Chelsea will be required to pay compensation to Nagelsmann to bring him to Stamford Bridge as he is still contractually bound to Bayern Munich despite his sacking.
Nagelsmann sees managing in the Premier League as a natural next step in his career and is also wanted by Tottenham following the departure of Antonio Conte.
