Spanish club Real Madrid have overtaken Chelsea in the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to German media outlet Bild and Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness.

The Dortmund star is expected to leave the German club in the summer and has been linked to Manchester City, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The report claims Real Madrid are leading the race for the transfer of Bellingham after his father, Mark, travelled to Madrid at the end of February to meet those in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu.

There have been no official talks between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund at this stage and the latter will only let their star asset go for €150m.

Despite making Bellingham their key priority for the summer transfer window, Real Madrid are unwilling to enter into a bidding war for the transfer of Bellingham and are reportedly not willing to pay Dortmund’s asking price of €150million.

Whether Chelsea are willing to pay €150million for Bellingham in the summer remains to be seen.
