Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has blasted Chelsea’s decision to spend heavily without signing a world-class goalscorer.
Chelsea created plenty of goalscoring opportunities but failed to convert a single one of them into a goal in the goalless draw against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have spent nearly £600m since last summer but have had to rely on Kai Havertz up front.
“They had so many chances, how do they spend £600m but still not have a striker, unbelievable,” Carragher said.
“It was a good performance against Liverpool and should win 2-0 with all the chances they had.”
