According to The Sun via Daily Mail, Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital could turn to Frank Lampard as interim Chelsea boss for the remainder of the season.

Lampard, who was at Stamford Bridge for the goalless draw against Liverpool on Tuesday night, is currently jobless after he was sacked by Everton.

Graham Potter’s assistant Bruno Saltor was in charge for the game against Liverpool and The Sun are reporting that Boehly could bring Lampard back to the club to take the reins for the remainder of the season.

Lampard steered Chelsea to a top-four finish and the FA Cup final in his first season as head coach, despite arriving back in the midst of a transfer embargo and being unable to bolster his squad.

After being afforded an array of new signings in his second signing, however, the legendary midfielder paid the price for a dismal run of five defeats in eight league games.

Would you want Lampard as interim Chelsea manager until the end of the season?
