According to Metro.co.uk, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer after holding productive talks with Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Liverpool have reportedly indicated to Mount that they are willing to meet his wage demands.

Mount’s current deal expires in 2024 and he rejected Chelsea’s last offer, which fell some way short of his rumoured £250,000-a-week salary demands.

Chelsea will not allow Mount to run down his deal and will look to sell the midfielder this summer if an agreement over a new contract can’t be found.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also interested in signing the Chelsea midfielder this summer.
