Arsenal legend Ian Wright has named three crucial signings the new Chelsea head coach will need to make.

Chelsea is in search of a new manager after Graham Potter was sacked as manager last Sunday following a poor run of form which has seen the Blues win just three times in 2023.

Despite Chelsea’s huge spending under Todd Boehly, Wright feels there are still three areas the Blues need to improve in.

“They’ve spent [over] half a billion pounds and they still for me need a goalkeeper if I’m being totally honest,” Wright told The Kelly & Wrighty Show.

“They still need a No.6 and they need a focal point centre forward. They’re nowhere near that.

“Since the (Roman) Abramovich era it feels like they’ve spent that money and they’re still nowhere.”
