According to Spanish media outlet El Nacional via GOAL, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder and World Cup winner N’Golo Kante in the summer.

Kante’s Chelsea contract will expire at the end of the season but the Blues are reportedly close to extending his contract with the club.

GOAL reports: “As per El Nacional, Atletico Madrid are still keen on signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté for free in the next transfer window.

“Kanté’s contract expires in the summer, however, reports suggest Chelsea are close to renewing him which has also deterred other teams from pursuing him.”
