Will Chelsea sack Potter following defeat to Aston Villa? Todd Boehly makes decision

According to Daily Mail via Goal, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly will continue to back Chelsea manager Graham Potter after a series of disappointing results – despite the availability of Julian Nagelsmann.

Chelsea are now 11th in the Premier League following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Chelsea have managed to win just three of our last 10 Premier League games.

With the Champions League still to play for – Chelsea face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals this month – and with only 10 matches to go in the league, the Blues are reluctant to part ways with Potter despite Nagelsmann’s availability after his recent sacking from Bayern Munich.

Nagelsmann heads up Tottenham’s managerial shortlist after they parted ways with Antonio Conte during the March international break, though the north London club are yet to get in touch with the German manager.

Next for Chelsea is a Premier League game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
