Chelsea have dropped into the bottom half for the first time since August following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa took the lead in the 18th minute after a defensive mix-up between Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly allowed Ollie Watkins to ghost in behind and lob the ball over Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Aston Villa doubled their lead ten minutes into the second-half after McGinn, who hit the bar in the first-half, slammed home from 25 yards.

Chelsea are now 11th in the Premier League.
