Chelsea will rival Tottenham to appoint Julian Nagelsmann in the summer if the Blues decide to sack Graham Potter, according to Sky Germany via Metro.

Bayern Munich sacked Nagelsmann last week and replaced the German tactician with former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

Tottenham are seeking to hold talks with Nagelsmann over a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur after Spurs decided to part ways with head coach Antonio Conte following his public rant.

However, Tottenham face competition from Chelsea for Nagelsmann should the Blues decide to sack Potter.

Potter only arrived at Chelsea head coach in September but the Blues have endured an abysmal season and are as low as 10th in the Premier League table. This is despite Chelsea spending over £600million on players this season.

Bayern Munich’s decision to sack Nagelsmann came as a massive shock, with the head coach considered one of the best young managers in world football. Bayern Munich were just a point behind Borussia Dortmund when they opted to sack Nagelsmann.
