Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is the latest Chelsea player to withdraw from international duty.
The German national team has confirmed that Havertz is out of their second game of the international break due to illness.
Havertz started Germany’s friendly against Peru the other night, setting up one goal and missing a second-half penalty in a 2-0 win.
Statement from the Germany national team reads: “Kai Havertz has travelled home from the squad due to illness, while Nico Schlotterbeck will also miss Germany vs Belgium on Tuesday due to a thigh problem. Speedy recovery, boys.”
Havertz is the second Chelsea player to withdraw from international duty after Reece James pulled out of the England squad due to injury.
