Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been announced as the new Bayern Munich manager and the German tactician is keen on signing two Chelsea stars.

According to Calciomercato via Football London, Tuchel has told the Bayern Munich board that he wants to sign Chelsea duo Mateo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy.

Mendy, who played a key role as Chelsea won the Champions League in 2021, faces an increasingly uncertain future under Graham Potter as it is, with contract renewal talks stalling and Kepa Arrizabalaga preferred between the sticks.

Kovacic, who has played a huge role in the Blues’ success since joining nearly four years ago, will be a free agent next year and has stalled on signing a new Chelsea contract.
