According to Portuguese reporter Pedro Almeida, Portugal international Joao Felix has told his parent club Atletico Madrid that he wants to join Chelsea permanently this summer.
In 2019, at age 19, Felix joined Atletico Madrid for a club-record transfer worth €126 million (£113 million), the fourth-most expensive football transfer, the second-most paid for a teenager, and the highest fee for a Portuguese player leaving the domestic league.
He joined Chelsea on loan in January until the end of the season and wants to remain a Chelsea player after impressing at Stamford Bridge and loving life in London.
Chelsea’s loan agreement with Atletico does not include a buyout clause. However, there’s a confidence that a deal can be reached in the region of €100million.
