According to a report on Football365, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has a ‘clear idea’ to replace Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Mendy has lost his place in the Chelsea starting XI to Kepa Arrizabalaga this season and has rejected a new contract which he deemed ‘disrespectful’.
The report states Mendy was offered a six-year deal worth £100,000 per week but wanted pay parity with Kepa, who’s on around £200,000.
Chelsea have refused to offer Mendy an improved contract and the Senegal international goalkeeper is now set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Boehly reportedly has a ‘clear idea’ to replace Mendy with Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer. The report also adds that Chelsea would consider offering Mendy plus cash for the Cameroon international.
Onana has kept 14 clean sheets and conceded 22 goals in 27 games for Inter Milan this season.
Chelsea players need to add winning mentality to atleast get a chance in champions league uefa
