Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been slammed by Chelsea fans for his substitutions during the 2-2 draw against Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Potter took off Christian Pulisic and brought on Conor Gallagher in the 62nd minute with Chelsea leading 1-0.
With Chelsea leading 2-1, Potter took off Mateo Kovacic for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, took off Joao Felix for Carney Chukwuemeka and took off Wesley Fofana for Trevoh Chalobah.
@CFCMod_ tweeted: “You see clubs like Man City scoring 2 goals and they want to score 4 more goals. We score 1 goal and we call it a day and try to defend. That’s the difference. Horrible substitutions from Potter that shows a shit mentality.”
@Inv_Dos tweeted: “A big club needs a big coach. Potter is definitely not our man.”
@cyberkraze tweeted: “Potter’s in game management was bad again. It has been bad in general, but got away with it in a couple of games, but it hurt us today. Potter has got a mid table mentality. He wants to protect a lead in the 60 minute! That is not how top teams play. You go for the kill!”
@djphantasy tweeted: “Potter subs were awful. He’s well out of his depth.”
@olamizzy tweeted: “Man really took all his wingers out and bring on midfielders.”
@EntangledHuman tweeted: “After such a positive first 60mins..we score one and we try to defend! 1-0 is never a safe score in any match.”
@EStalsburg tweeted: “The bigger issue is Chelsea had a full week to prepare. No excuses. And the team plays so flat! Thats just unacceptable. Then Potter makes poor subs and plays scared and we drop 2 points.”
