Chelsea have held talks to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window, according to transfer expert and Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have also held talks about signing the Nigerian international striker. Manchester City have also held talks about signing Osimhen despite having Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
German giants Bayern Munich are not in the race for Osimhen as they don’t see paying a transfer fee of at least €100million as feasible.
Osimhen has previously admitted he wants to ‘achieve his dream’ of playing in the Premier League.
“Playing in one of the top five leagues in the world is an amazing feeling for me and a good fit,” Osimhen said.
“Now, I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A. But of course, a lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day. But like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
