Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has praised Chelsea forward Kai Havertz for an impressive performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Havertz.

“He didn’t play as a striker,” Leboeuf said of the German international. “He tried a lot, he worked a lot, technically he was perfect.”

Leboeuf continued: “Everybody was spot on. that is the Chelsea we want to see. It is something I did not see for a while. A team not calculating too much, a team thinking of going forward, putting pace in the game.”
