German side Bayern Munich will turn down the chance to sign Joao Cancelo this summer, according to reports.
The 28 year old Portugal international joined Bayern Munich in January on loan until the rest of the season with the German side having the option to make the loan permanent for €70million.
Cancelo started his Bayern Munich career well, with two assists in his first two games, but has now fallen down the pecking order at the German club.
Cancelo, who left City in search of more regular first-team football, is understood to be ‘frustrated’ with his situation at Bayern Munich.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Bayern Munich are unlikely to sign Cancelo permanently at the end of the season. Chelsea and Real Madrid are the two most likely options for the 28-year-old star if he does leave City this summer.
