Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella was named Man of the Match by UEFA for his performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Explaining the decision to name Cucurella as Man of the Match, UEFA Technical Observer panel said: “Cucurella was fantastic, claiming numerous turnovers in the first half and reading the game intelligently as well as showing aerial strength and an accuracy of distribution which underpinned the victory for Chelsea.”

The 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund means Chelsea have now won two consecutive games for the first since October.
