Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has responded to rumours linking Mason Mount with a move to Liverpool.
Mount’s Chelsea contract expires next year and negotiations over a new Chelsea contract has reportedly stalled. Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Mount this summer if the England international doesn’t sign a new contract.
Premier League rivals Liverpool are reportedly confident of signing Mount this summer.
Quizzed about the reports linking Mount to Liverpool in his press conference on Friday, Potter said: “Mason has been great to work with. He’s been top. He’s suffering like the rest of us because we want to do better.
“In terms of the contract, that’s between him and the club. I am the head coach so my focus is on helping the players improve. That is the focus for me.”
