CONFIRMED: Six Chelsea players to miss Chelsea vs Leeds United clash

As many as six players could miss Saturday’s Premier League game against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, according to Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

According to Potter, Thiago Silva, Mason Mount, Edouard Mendy, and N’Golo Kante are unavailable for the game against Leeds United while Reece James is a doubt.

“Thiago will be around six weeks,” Potter told a press conference on Friday.

“Mason’s had a problem with his lower abdomen area, so he’ll miss the game. We’re hoping it won’t be too long, but it’s too soon for tomorrow.

“Reece has a little tightness in his hamstring and we’re just assessing him, but he’s doubtful.

“Mendy is making progress but not yet joined full training with the group. N’Golo had his first full training session today and obviously still needs time.”

Cesar Azpilicueta is also unavailable as a result of the head injury he suffered in the defeat to Southampton.

Potter added: “Azpi has made progress, but still not through protocols of a head injury like that.”
