Premier League rivals Liverpool are ‘increasingly confident’ of signing Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer.
According to talkSPORT via Metro, Liverpool are leading Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for the 24 year old attacking midfielder.
Mount’s current Chelsea contract expires next year and he is yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract.
Recent reports have claimed Chelsea do not want to enter a scenario where Mount leaves on a free transfer next year and would rather cash in while they can this summer if a new deal cannot be agreed.
Mount is thought to be seeking a new contract at Chelsea that gives him parity with the club’s top earners.
