According to The Telegraph, the Chelsea board are confident of reaching an agreement with 31 year old midfielder N’Golo Kante over a new contract.

Kante’s current Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season and the Chelsea hierarchy have been holding talks with Kante over a new deal.

The 31-year-old has been out with a hamstring injury since August and is yet to play a single game for Graham Potter.

Kante has been at Chelsea since 2016 and the midfielder has won the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup with Chelsea
