DEAL SET TO BE COMPLETED: Chelsea close to signing midfielder

Chelsea are close to signing Ecuadorian wonderkid Kendry Paez and the deal will soon be completed, according to a report on Metro.

Chelsea reportedly beat competition from Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid for the transfer of the 15 year old midfielder

The Independiente del Valle midfielder is thought to be one of the best young talents in South America and will be able to join the Blues when he turns 18.

Paez is yet to make his debut for the Ecuadorian side but was integrated into the first-team ahead of the 2022-23 season.

He has already impressed at international level for Ecuador U17s, scoring three goals across five caps.
