Chelsea will look to sell Mason Mount this summer if he fails to agree a new contract with the club, according to The Athletic.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will enter the final year of his Chelsea contract this summer and is yet to agree fresh terms with Chelsea.

Mount is reportedly not willing to sign Chelsea’s current offer as the club wants him to sign a minimum of a six year contract just like Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah.

Chelsea have paused negotiations with Mount over a new contract until the end of the season while the club concentrate on improving its form in the Premier League and Champions League.

Should nothing be agreed in the summer, Chelsea will look to sell the England international because he will have just 12 months left on his current deal and the owners will not countenance losing him for free the following year.

Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City and Italian giants Juventus are all interested in signing Mount in the summer.
