Top European club set to appoint Thomas Tuchel as manager

Thomas Tuchel has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea last September.

According to Evening Standard, PSG have admitted their mistake in sacking Tuchel and want to re-appoint the German tactician.

PSG have grown frustrated with their current head coach Christophe Galtier and want Tuchel back as their manager.

Tuchel may need convincing to join the dominant French side but would be dealing with Campos instead of former sporting director Leonardo — who he fell out with.

Tuchel would also need assurances the club would be willing to protect him against player power and ask to be left to focus on coaching, without too much invovlement in transfer market activity.

Tuchel is looking for a club that is competing for titles in any of Europe’s top five leagues having turned down at least one mid-table Premier League club already.

A return to Stamford Bridge is impossible for Tuchel at the moment with Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali backing Graham Potter despite Chelsea’s poor run of form.
